Existing surfacing broken out and carted off site, then compacted sub-base brought back in on our own lorries.

A temporary access road on a live hospital site. The existing surfacing was broken out and carted away by the load, with sub-base brought back in on the return trips, all worked around the access the site needed to keep open.

Spoil off a coastal plot

Deep excavation for a crate soakaway and house foundations, with the spoil carted away as the dig progressed.

A tight coastal plot with little room to store arisings. Our excavator and tippers worked together so the spoil went straight into the lorry and off site, keeping the plot clear for the foundations and soakaway that followed.

Excavation beside a live carriageway, with arisings loaded straight into the lorry as the dig went in.

Highway works for Cormac beside a live road. The verge was broken out and excavated with the arisings loaded straight into the tipper, before a reinforced concrete base was formed and poured for a new crash barrier.

FAQs

Booking a lorry

Yes, we run our own excavators alongside the lorries, so the same team can dig it out, load it up and cart it away. Just tell us what the job involves and we will send the right machine out with the lorry.
In most cases, yes. A grab lifts over walls, hedges and parked cars, so we can usually load from the roadside without bringing a machine onto your property. If you are not sure there is room, give us a ring and we will talk it through.
Of course. A grab lorry will clear a heap on its own, so there is no need for a digger on site if the digging has already been done. Let us know roughly how much there is and we will advise on the number of loads.
Yes, we work for contractors, developers and local authorities, and just as happily for homeowners with a single load to shift. No job is too small to give us a ring about.
Yes. We hold a streetworks licence, which covers works on and beside the public highway, so roadside jobs and verge access are no problem. It is worth mentioning when you book so we can plan the right vehicle.
Yes, we move our own machines between sites, and we are happy to shift plant for other firms by arrangement. Give the office a call with the machine and both addresses and we will price it up for you.
